Random Data Generator already outputs XML spreadsheets and spreadsheet web pages. Now it outputs true well-formed standard XML, and includes a XSD file for remote validation. The HTML is valid 4.01 Transitional. Both are valid according to the W3C validator. The MySQL output is a text file containing code for creating a MySQL database and populating it with generated fields.

For external (non-Excel) formats, you are no longer bound by Excel's row limit. For example, you can output 80,000 records to an Access database in Excel 2003.

API

Now you can use RDG output in your VBA programs. Declare a RDG object and return randomly generated fake test data to a VBA array.

A few minor bug fixes were also applied. For a full list of updates, read the version history.

If you already own Random Data Generator, I will be sending out an email in the next day or two to invite you to download this version. If you do not receive this email, please email me and I will send you a download link.
