Bingo Number Selector, Part Deux

In keeping with the Bingo theme, I ported the Bingo Number Selector code over to .NET, if you'd like a standalone version of the previous code, check out the download link below.

This was written in VB 2008 using the Express Edition of Visual Basic (the one I downloaded nearly a year ago). No Excel required! Just download the zip file, open it and run setup.exe to install the program. It adds an entry to your Start Menu and also registers itself with your Add/Remove Programs list, so you can remove it at any time.

I wrote and tested it on my home computer, so you'll probably need the .NET Framework version 3.5 SP1 in order to run it (that's what I have). If anyone could download and test it out, I'd be glad to hear if it works on your computer as well. It's pointless otherwise ;)

Download the .NET Bingo Number Selector

And as soon as I figure out how to populate a listbox, I'll write a Java version as well. 8)

  1. JP, it worked fine on my machine. Took a few minutes to install the .NET stuff, but your applications installed quickly.

  2. Now all you need is a program to play the game.

  3. Wonderful news Debra! Thanks for testing it.

Jon, if I could do that, I wouldn't need to work. I'll get started writing it right away.

  4. JP – Okay, but you owe me 10%.

  5. LOL let me figure out how to write it first.

  6. Thanks. Will try it and let you know
