Holiday Greetings From Excel

Here is my entry in Chandoo's Christmas Card in Excel contest.

WordArt Christmas Card

I created a simple card using some WordArt, which is found in Excel 2003 as well as Excel 2007 and 2010. ;)

Unfortunately I do not have time to create the card in every version, so I chose 2003. The end result is as follows: the sample workbook contains two sheets. The first sheet is called Simple and contains an upright card that is meant to be printed in Portrait layout. Click Print Preview to see how it will look.

The second sheet is called Foldable. It has basically the same display as the Simple worksheet, except it is oriented sideways. It should still be printed in Portrait layout, but the magic happens when you fold it in half.

Suggested Uses

My recommendation is to print out and hang the Simple card, while the Foldable card can be printed and mailed. That is, if you have the guts to do it.

Sorry, my card is not as fancy as Mike Alexander's, but mine is designed to be printed. If you email workbooks as holidays cards, just so your recipients can see your fancy animation, you need professional help.

Enjoy!
